THE ALMOST - MONSTER MONSTER

Background:

Monster Monster is the second album by The Almost, a gritty, alternative punk rock band.

Goal:

Create multiple designs for the Monster Monster album and tour, with the designs’ structure originating from items found in everyday life. It was a challenge to see the world around me in multiple new ways.

Process:

I started the process by carefully observing the world that I live in and thinking about what items that could capture the essence of The Almost. The smashed light bulb was an idea that I came up with quickly, but the punching robot graphic was not so easy. After taking multiple photos around my house and outside, I saw the gas meter and it hit me.
